Do any of you So. CA peep's know where my friend can get an H22 head on his H23 : (e.i. shop). If not, have any of you other guys done it, if so, can you guys give me a list of parts needed, and a ball park price ?, thanx
Check the Prelude FAQS for engine sources. You can get a head there. Also I here the H22 head is not good with the H23 block. Something like the H23 block does not have oil squirters for the H22 head. Someone can fill you in on this I hope.

why dont you just buy a h22 it make the same kinda power and 100 time easier to find not to mention all the aftermarket part
well...im pretty sure that the head is the same, just a diff crank. and i know of a place in cali that has one on hand. saw it with my own 2 eyes....pretty sweet. except for the fact that they all come with an auto sportshift tranny. thats not a problem though...mate it up to a h22 tranny and youre all set!
So my friend will be better off with the whole H22 then ? A local shop said they would do it for $2200:eek: , hell I can get him a newer H22 with ecu, tranny etc. for $2500. He says he want's an H23 DOHC VTEC cuz it will have more torque than the H22.
