help me with wiring -searched already

ok... i know there are tons and tons of indiglo threads out there but i couldn't find anything about tapping into the stock dimmer.
so please tell me where to tap it in to...
there are 4 wires that goes into the stock dimmer do i tap the power source into one of those? tap it into somewhere else???

oh yeah i know there is a thread at *************.com but for somereason i'm having the hardest time registering and right now i'm driving around with no speedometer cluster so please help me asap!


i just need to know which wire i'm supposed to tap it. and where that wire is located and what color it is(wht/red or blk or blu what?)

trial and error? can't you burn the gauge or even the whole cluster?
cuz i burnt the whole dash before on my old car..


so which one did it turn out to be?

Do a search on the words gauge. After the serach is complete look for the thread my me, magdog79, with the title of the thread being "display cluster changeout". This thread will give you the wiring color scheme. Make sure your ground is securely grounded. I found out during my testing that if the ground lost contact the lights wouldn't work.

there should be 4 wires that go to your dimmer switch harness, solid red, solid white, red with a black stripe, red with a white stripe. Strip the RED WIRE WITH A BLACK STRIPE, and tap into it with the RED wire from the inverter box that came with your indiglos. Wrap it up with electrical tape after you have tapped it.
