How do I change my shiftknob?

So.... how do i for my 00lude. I tried turning it but it seems like its not working....

Auto or manual?

Well, i beleive that with 5th gen it would be different than the 4th gen. But for mine, i just simply pop the boot collar off the knob, then twist it counterclockwise, it might take a good effort for its first removal.

yea, its clipped on to the boot, so you may have to get underneath the boot to unclip it, at least i had to... all you have to do is unscrew the plastic console, reach underneath it, and unclip it...
