and what if you did????? I mean what you going to replace the engine now???

You might have , but I doubt it... It just got below the set pressure. You should be alright if you replaced the oil as soon as you saw it flicker.. I would be more worried about where the oil went,, unless you just neglected it for so long that it used it up.... I've made it a habit to always check my oil when I get fuel.. Just seems right to do it then, and keeps a constance eye on the status of I engine.......

naw, if it was running fine before and after the light flashed, you should be fine. if it has been a while since you changed it it is probably "normal" Honda oil consumption. if you are up to date on all your oil changes, i would check to see where it is leaking from. every Honda engine i have ever seen with over 50k miles will burn about 1 quart every 3000 miles. once you reach 100k plus miles it may go up to two quarts of oil consumed. my 86 civic had 142k miles and it would go through 2.5 quarts every 3000 miles. my oil light would come on while cornering. that is how i knew when to change my oil when my speedometer cable broke lol. well CHANGE THAT OIL and happy honda days to you.

im almost sure you have a spun bearing. the bearing blocked the oil passage raising the oil pressure causing the blink. low/ no oil pressure is a steady light.
