You think i can have the exact same set up fit under my hood?
wonder what it runs on the 1/4. So the motor going from roughly 200 hp give or take a few to 750 hp, what a nice jump.
maybe they're afraid the engine will blow itself apart on the first run! that's why there are no times? Still, gotta love a drag honda that's still front wheel drive with "original" engine (no swap).
yea, i've seen the car done for more then a year now. people keep bringing it up in different threads accross the boards and yet it still hasnt ran yet. it was also in a magazine a while ago.
ha, yeah good point. 700hp and fast as hell but can it turn? (not a pretty picture) There's a reason drag tracks are perfectly flat and straight.
The two fastest 4g's I've heard about here in Japan are the JUN and the K's-Speed. But both of them are circuit cars, not drag. Top Fuel Japan was working on a drag 4g but I dont have any info on it.
it sure does help. normally when u take off in a fwd car the front end has a tendency to lift. with wheelie bars it prevents all the weight from transfering to the rear wheels.
is there really a point for that wheely bar on a front wheel drive?
yes actually it is a need.... for one reason.. weight trasnfer... for a front wheel drive when u launch the whole front of hte car gets lifted and the weight gets thrown backwards where u do not want the weight at... so tahts where those bars come in... they hold the back in place and gives the car a longer length to trasnfer the weight so there will be more weight in the front when launching so u can get a better launch
I remember some years back, I think it was Christian Rado who actually had a set of motorized wheelie bars in his Integra setup. The wheelie bars would lower to the ground, and then using hydraulics, lift the rear end several inches into the air. It was a great setup, and gave him a killer holeshot, but was deemed illegal by officials. Good concept though...
