Alright well i am so freaking close to being done with my swap but of course unlike everyone else i am having problems. i have no pressure on the clutch pedal at all it just drops to the floor and stays there. Will bleeding fix the problem? How do i bleed it? oh and i am throwing code/codes it blinks two times then one really fast pauses then blinks two times then it starts over again? what does this mean please someone help. And last but not least since i put a JDM H22a in the car do i need the map sensor for it also?
be a lil more specific...are you throwing a code like this...2 long blinks then one blink right after it...then thats code 21 (Solenoid Valve defective circuit or unplugged / defective solenoid valve ). but if you saw wrong and it could of blinked 3 short ones..then it has a long pause and does the 3 shorts blinks again then thats code 3...map sensor.
and what year is the motor...so we can help a bit more.
its just two long and one short now. On hybrid honda thats the VTEC solenoid valve and that makes sense because i dont have it wired for VTEC or the oil pressure switch wired up. Ok if its the map sensor for the other one is it because i didnt change the map sensor when i did the swap from an h23 to the JDM H22a? And the engine year how do i find out for sure because i got it off of HMO. And anything about the clutch anyone know? I has no pressure what so ever i push it down and it just dropps to the floor and stays there?
you have to bleed the clutch system, it takes forever, and you usually have to do it with your hand because the pedal wont come back up, just open the bleeder screw on the slave cylinder, and have someone watch it until you see stright fluid coming out, it took me 35 minutes to bleed mine....as for the codes hook up your vtec wires and then see...and you can use either map sensor , i re-wired mine to use the one on top of the JDM TB...but you could use the firewall mounted one on your h23
thats not on top of the TB thats the intake manifold, and you dont need that at all, thats not the map sensor....if you look ay my sig pick you can see the map sensor, is just too the right of my AEM coupler where the intake meets the throttle body..its the little black sensor
Well we tried to bleed the clutch tonight but it didnt work we did it for an hour just as you said and as the manual said but i think something is fucked up with the spring or something because it doesnt come pack up it just stays on the floor.
