no but seriously.... not only did his acting sucked for me... you just dont learn kendo overnight or in 1-2 yrs and beat actual samurai's. that was one of the reasons why i hated that movie. tom cruise sucks at trying to speak japanese... and i really cant imagine him as a samurai. i can imagine him as a bad ass general but as a samurai.... heck no !!

i guess my analogy backfired on me... but seriously on one note... good acting.... horrible plot.... and especially if you have practiced kendo/ shin-kendo, then the movie is pretty lame to you... cause 1. its overly dramatized and 2. all the fighting scene look fake as fuck. 3. morals for kendo/shin kendo are different from the purpose of the movie... maybe im too overly critical... >< \
