Are you sure the fan is trashed? Could it be wiring/relay/sensor related. Ive never heard of the fan actually failing. Just curious if youve checked everything before you buy a new one.

k i wired the fan directly to the battery to see if it was anything else... and it didnt move but sounded like wank wank something like that, like if it was stuck tried to spin it and it spinned well, then it smelled like something was burned

Ahh, well then i guess the motor is fried or something huh? As far as a aftermarket fan goes. I wouldnt spend the money on one unless i had an upgraded radiator as well. Is kinda like buying springs without the struts. It can be done and work well, but its worth it in the long run to buy them together.

all you have to do is replace the motor right??

if it's about the same price for a new motor/fan then why not....if not then yea he's right not gonna do much either way. Save yourself some money.
