I'm not sure if any of you Type-SH owners are interested in the RS*R Ex-Mag, but I contacted RS*R about it since they only offer it for the Base 5th Gen. This is what they said...which is encouraging and I'll be following up with them for an ETA.
Jason,
There is a required adapter that is not included in the kit. We are working on a fix for this issue.
Thanks,

a Adapter??? the Sh exhuast system is just liek 3 to 4 inch shorter at the cat. converter side. So shouldn't they jsut shorten the pipe and it'll be ok????

the Sh might be heavier than a base, but we have a BIGGER radius rod
just buy the exhaust and shorten it not very difficult.
i'm not the type of person that would chop a pipe to make it fit...that defeats the purpose of buying a product if you have to hack it to work IMO. i'm waiting for a reply from them for my last email, i'll surely mention that i'm from SHO and that the inquiry's for multiple potential customers. hopefully that will give them some incentive to get the product out sooner than later.

ive got an original rsr on my 98 sh thati bought 5yrs ago and it was for a base and it only had to be shortend just a touch, no "hacking" involved, just a cut and a weld, very simple, and the exhaust is great
* * * *Thank you for your interest in a Prelude Ex-Mag exhaust system for the 97+
prelude. *Currently we do not offer a direct bolt on system for the SH
model. *And as of right now we are not in development for a direct
replacement Ex-Mag SH system.
Thank you,
RS-R

there must have been some slight confusion on the development of the exhaust. *we are looking into creating a new piece w/ an adapter to help accomodate all prelude owners. *but, this exhaust is in the works, and is still about 4-6 months out.
thanks!

--I'm assuming they're making and exhaust for the SH and then just supplying an adapter for base models. i guess i'll be waiting or paying up big bucks for a mugen
