For a while now i think my rear right-side shock has been slowly wearing out.
Cause there is this road where I drive and it has curves, banking and elevation changes, whenever i make a right hand banked turn the right rear shock would make a compression noise (or srcaping noise) sorta like a air compressor "psssh", and the sound would go away after clearing the corner, but if I take a few more right hand banked turns the shock would constantly make the noise, it would become a rhythmic "pssh pssh" noise. The noise would get faster with increase in speed, but if i pull over to the side of the road for like a minute and start driving again the noise would go away.
I think the culprit are the shocks, cause my right rear tire is cupping.
But it only makes the noise if the road surface dips down on the right side (banking) but it goes over bumps fine, and the effect on the handling isn't notciable......yet.

If the right rear tire is cupping then you def need to find out why.

I compared it to a sea going vessel. When I had the shocks replaced, you could pull the passenger rear shock in and out with one hand, but that's what happens when you buy used shocks on eBay I put in new KYB GR2's though, nice stock like replacement.

Yeah im debating whether I should get a stock replacement like the KYB GR-2, or something sportier. But im leaning towards the GR-2 since they are cheaper.
So did you use stock springs with the GR-2? Is there any difference in handling/ride compared to the stock shocks?
I have one shock making bad noises and the cupping tire, but the other 3 are fine and the car still rides firmly. Im thinking I should change out the rear struts than worry about the fronts later.
we have similar problem, my shocks and struts produces a screeching sound. What I did was, I temporarily placed lubricants to lessen the noise.and soon ill buy a brand new pair.
sorry to ask but what do you mean by coupling.. ohh and btw if you want handling.... go with eibach sportlines + tokico illumina.... i think my set up is the shit... no seriously !!!
