if you speedo isn't working then it sounds like your speed sensor is dead. I had mine go out in a older accord and the car felt very sluggish, check engine light was on and of course the speedo didnt work.If thats your problem then its a pretty easy DIY..especially if you have a good manual on your car. Honda is gonna charge you a arm and leg to change it.

Yup get the code, so you're telling us that your car had no problems when you took it to get your clutch put in right? If so that's bullshit and I'd be taking it back to the fuckers that did the work. As far as your speedo not working they probably broke your vss sensor when they took the tranny out or however they did it. If you jump the 2 pin diagnostic connector it will flash the code. I'd check the fluid in the atts too to make sure it didn't leak out when the seperated the tranny and atts to put the clutch in. I've seen people get bouncy speedos before and it's been the tps. Ok now we can keep guessing or you can pull the code for us! :clap :byye

yeah, they probably didnt put something back together right. I sure paid a lot more to get a clutch put in my SH recently, but I know these guys did it right.

clutches can be notoriously hard on prelude SH's because the ATTS is a delicate unit and a lot of people have no clue what it is. So they just slap it back together and then you get a ATTS light which will trip the check engine light (and vice versa). And when your car throws a light it goes into limp mode and that is why your VTEC feels 'week'...your car knows something is drastically wrong and is trying to protect it by retarding timing and probably running pig rich and also in an SH completely dissable the ATTS system.

My advice would be take it back to a mechanic that has experience in SH's and/or find a good mechanic you can trust and drop off the HELMS manual and let him get to work.

my way of tackling this problem would be to go to the place that worked on my car and tell them they better fucking fix it NOW! If u think they suck really bad or they give u shit then tell them you're taking it somewhere else and sending them the bill.

Keep in mind mechanics are a lot like waiters. Don't piss them off too much until u got the car back and decide you're never going back. I've gone thru tons of mechanics and work with a lot of waiters, I wouldn't insult either before I get my food or car. Just be stern, don't loose your cool.

It's prolly less stress to just say, hey wtf this shouldn't be like this. And let them try to fix it, if they can't then well....

But that sucks whale penis, sorry.

Thats exactly why I didnt go with a cheap mechanic and opted for a honda specialist that has seen SH ludes before. A clutch job on a lude is expensive enough if done right, add in the complexities of the ATTS and you got a butt load of cash needed... yeah, I would complain and threaten calling the better business beaureau or smthing.
