A very easy question.

My car is missing the Prelude logo on the front grill. It was more conveniant to just order a Type S one with my Type S carbon bezel.

The problem or question regards.. It doesn't just snap into place. Since I don't have the original piece I can't compare, but I think they're somewhat different. I don't know what exactely I have to do to get it to stick there and not fall out. I just don't wanna push it in an have it gone when I get down the street or break the pegs tryin to force something that doesn't exactely fit.

Has anybody with a 5th gen noticed that the plugs for the Type S badge in the front is a little different or have any solutions.

Don't bother hating about me buyin an emblem, just be glad I don't have the ATTS one on my base.

So the easiest how to in the world.

i think glue is the only way?

Has anyone tried to put this on the front grill of a 97-99 prelude. The grills aren't the cross hatch pattern of the newer 5th gens and I wonder it it will even stay glued on.

if you do end up using gorilla glue, wear some gloves... that stuff does NOT come off your hands once it dries...

Part of the reason it may not line up correctly is because the Type-S came with the red ATTS emblem on the front grill, not a Type-S emblem.

yeah but I assume Honda didn't just make this part for no reason. Its probably in case you'd rather have it than the atts one. Either way I don't have ATTS so I didn't want a whole bunch of stupid gits walking up and asking me whether my car was an SH.

So I'm still confused though, if it were the stock original prelude emblem it would just pop in there thru the holes and no glue would b needed? Or is there a piece that secures it in from the back?

There are definitely Type S badges for the grill also.

why would you want badges on your car. It looks so clean without them. Kinda sucks that there are holes there but it i could choose i would keep them off.

nas00 will become famous soon enough
My car is a 98, so it originally had the non honeycomb grill. On 97-98 you cant put any badges. I then bought a 99+ grill and it had the factory 'prelude' emblem on it, since my car is an SH I order the 'ATTS' emblem and to put in on, I had to pull off the grill, take two screws out from the back, switch the eblems and put everything back together.

To my knowldedge the 97-98 Type S's came with the emblem that said 'Type S' and the 99+ ones came with the 'ATTS' badge.

So your emblem should definetly screw onto the grill with no problems at all. The only thing I can think of is someone might have sold you a rear Type S badge (The one that goes usually where the it says Type SH on an SH or nothing on a base). And that badge you have to put on with double sided tape...

Hope i helped...

Helped a lot. The whole thing is I wasn't sure if I needed to screw it in or if it would pop in and be secure, I could always get it to fit I just don't wanna ghetto rig it. Well now that I know I jus need to find some screws that will work.

I wanna go do it right now, but considering I'm gettin ready to do a lot of bodywork and the car looks fukt up there is no need to put it on now. So i'll have to wait.
