My friend's dad bought a new Honda Pilot a month or two ago. I've been on the board for a while, but I was just suggesting a new Pilot forum. They're torquey and sound cool, plus the interior has lots of neat little stow-away places, and cell phone holders.
I forgot but I think in the neighborhood of $35,000. It's a nice ride with noticeable VTEC engagement and like any SUVish vehicle, the chassis feels a bit wobbly. Lots and lots of cubbyholes to stash things and put drinks in. But do take a look at the Honda Odyssey if you don't mind driving a Minivan
I would recommend the Honda Pilot to anyone. I've driven a lot of them, being that I take care of all the new cars at a Honda dealership. They handle very nice and you don't even notice the bumps on the road. And I just love all the places to stash stuff. Enjoy
I just bought the Pilot last Tuesday and love it. I test drove a Tahoe, Sequoia and a Explorer and the pilot came on top. There was a noticable amount of pickup speed above the Sequoia and Explorer and almost the same amount of room as the Tahoe and Sequoia. It also gets great gas mileage for an SUV. I've been averaging 20 miles to the gallon. I picked mine up for 32500.00 after 4 hours of haggling. Mine is a EX-L in Black. Time and time again I have gone with honda's because of reliability and Ingenuity in creating each honda. From my 90 H22'd accord to a 97 integra to the pilot. I still own the accord of course.
I would definitly recommend the Pilot to anyone looking for a great SUV.
hey, congrats on getting a Pilot. Black is my fav. color for those, it makes it look so sharp. I'm sure that you won't have any troubles with the Pilot. Enjoy it
oh, and one more thing, Izuzu had a contract with Honda and they built the Passport. Ever notice that a Honda Passport looks so identical to an Izuzu Rodeo??

The Passport is a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo and the Acura SLX is a rebaged Isuzu Trooper. Honda never has a Toyota engine in any of its car/SUV. Actually the CR-V is the first SUV but it's a compact ute. The MDX is Honda first built V6 SUV but it comes in Acura badge. I'm looking forward to buy a Pilot but I want to wait because it's such a hot car thus I can't negotiate.
If you read my post above I posted that I got it for 32500 after they had wanted 35000. They actually messed up on the paperwork and when I went back in to resign the papers I renegotiated to 30500. The Invoice price on the EX-L is 28000. I think I negotiated pretty good for a car that just came out 2 months ago.
Wow..not bad at all. My parents are thinking about getting a MDX which the Pilot is based off of. Coming from a family full of BMWs, if they were to go Japanese, it would have to be a Japanese high marquee luxury brand. But yeah, the navigation/entertainment system was sweeet! And that rear view camera kicks ass!
