Photos 2005 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible Street Appearance

The sixth-generation, all-new 2005 Corvette is already considered a benchmark performance vehicle. For the enthusiast, however, such a benchmark is just a starting point to build something even better. Special high-performance features produce an estimated 25-horsepower boost to the LS2 engine’s normal 400-bhp output. Added to this power are subtle styling features that put this Victory Red Corvette convertible on an even faster track.

Corvette Convertible Street Appearance highlights:
-LS2 V-8 with custom air box and CNC-machined cylinder heads that increase the engine’s horsepower to approximately 425 bhp
-Short-throw shifter for the six-speed manual transmission; shifter is topped with an aluminum shift knob
-Aluminum parking brake handle complements new look of shifter
-Suspension dropped to lowest level recommended by factory specifications
-Free-flow exhaust system engineered by Borla Performance Industries
-Storage options increase with addition of pouches behind front seats
-Rear-mounted CD/DVD system facilitates inclusion of a DVD-based navigation system
-10-spoke polished aluminum wheels
-Body-colored engine trim covers
-Body-colored interior trim pieces
-Aluminum door sill plates
-Functional wind screen / blocker
-Tasteful body stripe

Second one is nice, minus the wing...

But the first one is AWFUL!!! That stripe is nasty, the whole thing looks 2 inches too high, the rear spoiler looks terrible, only to be outdone by that horrendous windscreen. Looks like a rental car.
