2006 Volkswagon Jetta **Spyshots**

Here are the very first real photos showing prototypes of Volkswagen's two top secret new models, the next VW Passat (right) and Jetta (above).

The prototypes got caught during hot-weather towing tests in California . Despite the disguise at front- and rear end, they clearly reveal the shape and size of the new generation Passat and Jetta.

The Passat is due for launch in 2005 at the Geneva Motor Show in March and will have new transversely mounted engines.

The VW Jetta is expected to be shown at the next Detroit Motor Show in January 2005 because it is particularly important for the U.S. market. The Jetta is being built in Mexico.
