As well, I always thought the rx-8 was a let down in comparison to the rx-7. But even if you are tryign to compare the 2, didn't mazda take some performance out of the rx-8 to help make it more affordable? I could be wrong but wasn't the rx-7 pricy, especially the TT version, like into the 60g mark, or 50g at least. where as the 8 is around what, 35-40ish?

no it was 35K when it came out. ran mid 13's stock and was one of the best domestic cornering machines of it's time.

The RX-8 was never intended to be an RX-7 replacement, don't bother comparing them.

2yrs ago wen i heard rumors of the supra coming back, it was sposed to be a sport convert like an s2k or miata. good, sounds like they rnt doing that, lol

And then it was rumored to have a V8, or a V10, or...
Same story with the S2000 replacement and the NSX replacement- I'll believe it when I see them.
That said, after hearing rumors of the GTR coming to America, I took a "I'll believe it when I see it" attitude, and it actually materialized. So while I won't rule out the possibilities, I'm not holding my breath, either.

well the japanese companies all want their legendary platforms to compete against supercars now. so i hear alot of the returning cars are going to eclipse that 100K platform. hell the v10 nsx is 238K. fuck that. i will never pay 238K for a honda.

im not saying your wrong or right, or that I disagree or agree, but would you pay 238K if it was the SAME car but with a Ferrari badge?
It seems that to some it doesn't matter how much craftsmenship/technology/performance/etc is in something, if it has a particular badgeing, it isn't worth it. (Not saying you in particular).
I feel if it's worth it, then it's worth it, who cares the company. But I know not everyone feels this way, just MO  Do I think this car is worth that kinda coin, not personally, but not because it's a Honda. Again, I mean no shot at you WVU97GS-R

i don't believe in spending that much money for any car. but when a honda eclipses the price of a gt2 porsche i'm pretty sure hell is freezing over as we speak. it butter run the nur in 5 minutes for that price. i can get a car like a zr1 or gtr for under half the price. 238K? just say this out loud and see how it sounds. ($238K honda) say it ten times and see how you feel.
