I wonder if it will have a sales impact on those cars? Hey they got here through "video game" adverts anyway so maybe not. Hey Mitsu is having some tough times right now, I hear the Eclipse sells well but what else have they got with broad appeal?

Maybe they're just not pupular in my area?

But dam that sucks that they're not participating again, but they didn't really do good before. Mitsu is losing their lust at a very fast pace, I don't think there really was even a rivalry b/t Mitsu and Subaru when it came down to WRC. Ahhh well it's better for them to save some money anyways.

Actually, as much as you don't see them, it's currently the highest selling car in it's class.

Shitsubishi is going down the tubes. Smart buisiness not to be spending money on WRC, but in a way it will hurt them. Their factory racing efforts sold the EVO, which as far as I can tell is basically the one thing holding up their shambles of a company.

maybe in asia because i know in indonesia they do sell subaru and celica but onli recently. but lancer its been there forever. and singapore too. dunno about taiwan but i know hongkong there are ALOT of mitsu evo and non evo UK they love EVO thats why they have evo FQ series..OZ they are not strong because OZ love subaru they even use WRX as a cop car.

I wouldnt. The new Eclipse is an overweight turd. Their "new" pickup is a rebadged Dodge Dakota. Their reliability sucks. The EVO is the only thing keeping them afloat, and that cant last forever.

i'm wondering what kind of class eclipse belongs too...or did you mean eclipse is the only one belonging to its class?

I dont know what class it's in if it's the "hottest selling in its class"... If its in the class with the Civic, its getting outsold, if its in the class with the RSX its getting outsold, I cant imagine how they fanagled these sales figures. Unless it's in a class of its own: "ugly as hell FWD overweight pig"

I would group it in with the sport coupe class. In which case, it gets absolutely trounced and pummeled like a redheaded step child by the Mustang in terms of sales.

I think Mitsu will sell about 40k eclipse this year. Ford will sell close to 200k mustangs.

As for the Evo, sad to see it leave WRC. Lots of history. I'd like to see them come back soon.
