f crx. its all about the s2k! one of the sexiest honda ever designed! along with nsx
The S2000 probably needs more engine options to be successful. I think they should offer it with an affordable 1.5 liter - 150 hp (the car still weighs less than 3000 lbs, so it should still be fast with only 150 hp) and extreme 3.0 liter - 375 hp models. Of course all will have design compensation for 50/50 balance and all the other goodies the current S2k has. This might cheapen the S2k but will keep it alive.
As for the NSX, it is out of date, even though few cars can currently match it. It wasn't the beast it was when it first came out. The new NSX should become what the original NSX was designed to be, the culmination of all advanced technology that Honda has to offer that will endure another 10-13 years. So lets sum it up like this:
Next Gen NSX should be:
SH-AWD (should have debuted on a sports car rather than RL IMO) Diesel (lots of torque and power with fuel economy) Hybrid (even more torque, power, and fuel economy) Light all carbon-fiber body / aluminum frame (NSX-R / Insight technology) Stiff X-frame (from S2k) i-VTEC (more even torque and power curves) Steering Power assist (from S2k / Civic Si) (and any other Honda innovations that I missed...)
As for numbers:
450 hp / 525 ft-lb of torque
29/36 mpg city/hwy
2300 - 2400 lbs curb weight (possible with current technology)
As for the body, they should make a body that reflects Honda styling. Should stop trying to be a Ferrari wannabe. Put all this into a 55k - 65k dollar package which will be a high volume model with these specs.. and Honda will have a supercar for the next decade.
Then I wake up....

Signature Theftage. You could have at least changed the file name so I wouldn't have easily suspected anything :eek
But yes, I've read that the NSX, S2000 & Integra Type R (whether it's just the R, or the entire Integra line-up, I don't know) will be dead soon.
I think they should keep the S2k....NSX'S aren't worth it when you can get a Vette for half the price and out perfom it
NSX's arent worth the $$ when you can get a vette and out preform it for half the price? is that so..
Bro your a dumbass, im sick of defending the NSX to ignorant shits like you who just look at HP #'s and decide a car isnt worth the money. Go do some god damn research on a car before you talk smack about it, im not even going to waste my time trying to explain it to you..

My son ..your ignorance comes just from not respecting other peoples opinions...if your not going to waste your time then why did you respond to what i said....you buy a nsx for 90k and i'll by a vette for 50k and i'll outrun you to 60 and the 1/4 mile...put them on the track and you might have a slight edge....if i put another 40k into the vette to match the price you just put into a NSX..you wouldn't even touch me..Granted the NSX is still competitive with alot of sports cars but its been 14 years since they did any major work to the car.....It's not worth the money...I've done my reading...you do yours.

i don't think the NSX was made for drag racing in the 1/4.. and besides, remember that video floating around on SHO? where they drag raced the 4 cars? some british car, NSX-R, some other car, and the new corvette. i think the corvette came in dead last whereas the NSX-R came in second.. and leaf springs? do you really think that'll keep up with the NSX-R on the track? go ahead, put another 40k into the corvette. all that power is gonna get you nowhere but the tirewall on the outside of turn 4.

you buy vette because its affordable.. you buy NSX because it is overprice..
RWD muscle car.. vs MR exotic cars... do u see ppl complained or comparing old ferrari with vette this vette dat... remember. vette local.. and anything that is import are more expensive and also more exotic.. coz that this is not made in USA.... same like lambo and ferrari... not made in USA...
NSX owners are usually just wanna show off that they have the money and they dont give shit about how fast.. coz they knew long2 time ago their car are the SHIET..

ok. if you havent already heard or read, CarMagazine from UK has reported that honda is planning on discontinuing the NSX and S2000.
though i highly doubt this rumor is true. its worth a discussion.
Not too sure about the NSX(HSC), but the S2000 is supposedly being phased out in the next few years to be replaced by a car that's better suited to compete with the Porsche Boxster. I don't know what that means specifically, but that's Honda's reasoning.
