Subaru(SOA) Sales Fell 19% in August

According to the SOA press release at http://vocuspr.vocus.com/VocusPR30/...ases&Cache=True, sales of every SOA model line fell last month compared to August, 2003.
Legacy/Outback -12%
Impreza -25%
Forester -18%
Baja -55%

Year-to-date sales of all Subarus is down by 6% from the same period last year

i guess 225hp WRX isnt cutting it anymore, when the competition is offering more hp plus better interior for about same price. oh yea, AWD, every company has one. haha

weird lol why they are losing sales... is it because they onli offer AWD? why? other european company onli offer RWD... and some japanese company always sell FWD ( honda..have AWD now with new RL but for the longest time honda = FWD)

i think the decline of sales are mainly from stiffer competition. the sales of the new legacy should pick up.

subaru sux :clap j/k...kind of. they need alot more variety to be successful; their approach is way too narrow (all wheel drive wagon-car-thing with a 2.5 boxer-4). i remember they were trying to make a bmw of japanese car companies...i guess we wont see that happening.

Nice cars. I pretty much like every single one of them except the weird looking baja. The new turbo legacy GT is hot for a family sedan i think.

Speaking of suburu sales, where the hell are the suburu dealerships? You rarely see them.

It was just a little too expensive for the 250 hp model. Thats the thing about luxury cars, they are exclusive, they don't sell as much and they cost more. So subaru has one of those things.
