Nevermind it says 4wd, not awd. There is supposed to be a difference the two but I dont know.
The 4wd/awd that Honda has is different from other brands. There are no locks or button that you can press to make the it turn on. The system only turns on when the front wheel slips. So in most case, it will be on for only a few sec, and once the front wheel grips, it will turn off. It is not design to be on all the time while you drive. This way it save more gas because the system is not always on.
Is this designe for extreme off-road? No you can't climb rock or anything like that like a Hummer H1. But it does do a petty good job in snow, rain, dirt and other conditions like that. When the system kicks in, you will know it.
