^ you do know wrapping your header will cause your header to pretty much be eatten away by heat?

unwrap it after a year or so and check out what it looks like.

its good yes cause it keeps the heat in the right place but its just bad for headers. ceramic coating is the balanece between them

lol woooo eBay header.

And yes, you don't need VTEC to be fast. If you have a VTEC motor, there's a lot you can do to take advantage of the system, but I've proven that if Honda wanted to price their vehicles higher, and make them less fuel efficient, there would be no need for VTEC.

I have better low end power, better low end response, better mid range, better mid range response, better high end, and better high end response than VTEC motors with similar power. But I've needed to spend money on the correct bolt-ons, cams, and tuning to make that possible, and my gas mileage has obviously gone down. Honda would need to price a faster non-VTEC Civic Si a good $5000 higher, and it would have like a 25% drop in fuel efficiency....but yes...it would be faster.

Now, you swap up in Ferrari's wedge shaped lobe system...then changing the cam profile all the time would be beneficial and make more power everywhere.

VTEC: Leave it to Honda to give you turbo lag without the turbo
