power steering noise on a 06 CRV

Does anyone else have this problem when it is cold? It almost sounds like a whirlng noise when it is low. Took it to the stealer and of course it was warmed up by then. They said fluid was good as was the level.

there might be a loose, worn, or contaminated pump belt; worn pump bearings; fluid restriction, or defective pump or steering gear; try to check those things and inform us what other things did you notice.. It happened to my brother's car before, after thorough examination of all his honda crv parts it turned out that it has a low fluid level and filling pump reservoir with proper fluid, fixes the problem.. good luck

Thanx for the response. I forgot to mention cold (meaning cold outside temp, not engine temp.) Also the CRV only had 3500 miles on it, that's pretty sad if the pump was shot. Checked belt and fluid level seemed good.

Finally was able to get back to the dealer, it turned out to be low fluid. I guess the resevoirs are confusing, because the fluid level expands when it is warm. Even the dealer the first time checked it when it was warm and gave him a false reading. This time they checked cold as well and determined it was low. Strange thing they also changed the resevoir not a CRV one. They said this one would flow the fluid through better. They also said that they had this problem on the Oddeseys as well.
