Question Check Engine Light (gas cap)

My check engine light came on and I realized after a bit that I hadn't shut the gas cap tight enough and there is a note on the cap that this will trigger the engine light. My question is, is there a way to reset the light w/o disconnecting the battery as I then have to reset the radio and would rather do something else if I can. The light I figure once triggered, doesn't turn off once you fix the issue, which I am hoping I did.

You should be able to bring it to your dealer and they'll reset it for you.

Or just wait...

It takes several drive cycles to reset (or detect) the message. Give it a week.

If the Check Engine light doesn't go off still, bring the car to an Auto Zone and they will see what the code is...then check back....
