Overheating

Have 96 åcura Tl. Radiator was just replaced . Then top hose burst. Replaced top and bottom. Drained and filled coolant, started her up, started driving and then the temperature gauge shot quickly to HOT. Now after the Radiator was replaced, I drove it back from LV to SD ok. When replaced the hoses, overheating problem. Now notice fans will not turn on. Help> I know nothing about cars, I just tried to read articles and repair manuals.

There might be an air bubble trapped in the system somewhere. Air doesn't carry the same cooling characteristics as water or coolant, so it causes lots of problems with over heating when you trap an air bubble in the system and don't bleed it out.

So there I was, Heineken in the one hand, cigar in the other, trousers around my ankles, my balls slapping against her chin and I thought to myself, man, what a great fucking beer!

I once had the similar issues with my Mazda 626. The over-heating problem just won't go away. In addition to what you described, I also had problems with cracked/burnt gasket. This was causing the oil and water to mix up raising the engine temperature. It was really frustrating and had become a money pit.

I think once an engine overheats it is never the same again.

Good Luck!

Thanks.
