CL TAIL LIGHTING

I would like to know if I can swap the rear tail lights on a CL 01 to the RED/CLEAR of an 03 Type S. I plan on removing the whole tailight. I want to know if I can do it just by swapping them. I dont want the all red on it. I can get the 03 lights but want to know if they will fit straight onto the car with NO modifications on the rear.
