K20A2 Swap vs H22 swap...

whats goin on everyone...this is my first post and i just wanna say that im glad to join the best honda board online...without a doubt...this being my first i would like to take this moment to propose a question that has been on my mind for a while...I own a 99 Acura 2.3 CL...my ultimate goal is to eventually do an H22 swap...my friend (who is a Nismo head) keeps tellin me that i should forget about the H22 and go with a K-series swap...the RSX engine...what is everyones take on this. I have decided that I will be doing the H22 swap but I would still consider the K-swap if in the end it means that i will get more out of it. I know H22 pumps out more HP all motor then the K series. H22 220 >>>>K20A2 200 stock i believe...I just want to know what everyone elses stance on this subject matter is

I drive a 5th gen prelude, so i can attest that the h22 is a great motor, however it seems to me that you would make a better choice to buy one of the larger CL motors rather than an h or a k series. If you are dead set on buying an h or k, i would buy the h. Only because you will have more torque. The k series will give you more power per $ for mods, but its tough to gain torque with a smaller motor.

Just wondering, what engine produces more power to the wheels? H22 or the K-series?

depends on the motor. the dc5-r motor makes about the same hp as the jdm h22a. and it depends on your powertrain mods.

I was looking into buying the 3.0 CL motor but they don't make a Manual tranny for that car... ...or at least I haven't heard of seen any 3.0 CLs that come with a manual tranny...I am really gun-ho on doing the H swap...I just need to get my money up...
