Hell, those are more than a 1/3rd of the price of a new controller alone.

No, I just find it humorous. Did I say anything about the 360 or Wii? No. IIRC, I only commented because your post was blatantly defensive of Sony. Nothing new though, I suppose. Move along folks.

Defensive? Me telling it like it is, is now defensive?
Here's some knowledge for you:
It sucks that I bought VC games, and then had to shell out another $20 to play them.
It sucks that the Wii Remote / Nunchuck combo is $60 *without* rechargable batts.
It sucks that the Play and Charge Kit for the 360 is $20.
It sucks that the DS3 is $55.
However, the DS3 still holds great value as it never requires any additional cost after it's initial purchase. The Wii and 360 require batteries or recharge kits.
Pick your poison.

*Sigh* "Telling it like it is?"
Oh, so that's your excuse for conveniently throwing the blame on other things whenever anything Sony receives anything except the most positive of feedback?
It's ridiculous, really: every single time, without fail, you twist the situation at hand to make Sony look better. In your initial post, you failed to acknowledge that it sucked, you simply went straight into how it's better than the Wii and 360 controllers, lmao.
$55 for a DS3 sucks, plain and simple. $60 for the Wiimote/nunchuck sucks, as does the $50 for a 360 controller, but you really only brought these up two other controllers in defense of the DS3.
There is a difference.

So you're telling me the DS3 isn't a better value than either of the other controllers?
You're telling me that it's perfectly okay to buy a Wii Remote and Nunchuck, Classic controller for VC titles, and a recharge kit, likely coming to a total of $100. All that just so you can play Wii / VC games with batteries that recharge.
You're telling me that it's a good value to spend $70 on a 360 controller + Recharge kit?
But somehow, me saying 'hey, at least you don't have to buy the extra crap for batteries' is spin? I'm simply acknowledging that there is a bright side.
Honestly. If I spend $50 on a Sixaxis at launch, and then $55 on a DS3, I'm spending $105. Even then, it's likely most gamers will trade in their Sixaxis for a DS3, so they'll get it for $45.
I don't get it man, lol. You love to jump my bones every chance you get. You follow me around, dig up old posts, look for me on other forums, secretly call me out in love letters when you post news 'zomg I'm scared lol'.
If you're going to tell me I'm being a fanboy, just because I acknowledge the value in a $55 controller that recharges itself, and has a lifetime warranty on the battery...then you're insane.
Or are you somehow going to say I'm NOT telling it like it is, that you DONT have to spend extra money on batteries, recharge kits, and additional add ons for your controllers?
Please, do elaborate.

The other 2 controllers have no defense, pure and simple the DS3 is the better deal for price. No fucking batteries and no fucking charge kits pure and simple make the DS3 a better deal.

Did I ever say that? No. In fact, the DS3 having built in rechargeable batteries is an extremely valid point. I'm just pointing out how characteristic of you it is to immediately make something negative seem better by comparison to other products. You didn't even acknowledge that $55 for a controller sucks. You display said behavior quite often. What is the term you love used to use so often towards the 360? Oh yeah, "damage control!" I believe that would apply to this scenario as well, in your book anyways.
I don't "follow you around." We are members of the same forum, what do you honestly expect? I only dig up old posts to prove things that you otherwise would deny. At least I don't dig up old threads. Finally, I do not "look for you on other forums." I can see you are still bitter about CoD4. Funny part is, it was you who recommended I ask people on B3D that question in the first place, but you conveniently got the answer for me.

Not to sidetrack you two lovebirds, but... any word about 3rd party DS3 type controllers?
For example I really liked Logitech's PS2 DS controller & wouldn't mind at least looking into non-Sony products if they're brought out in a timely manner.
I'm guessing each company might need to negotiate w/ Sony or the original patent holder for rights to the technology?

You are so outrageous and over the top, lmfao.
I mean, is it really THAT serious that I point out how the DS3 has a lifetime battery warranty and doesn't require any additional purchase?
You pay $55 once, and that's it. If rumble isn't important to you, you keep your Sixaxis, once, never need to buy any other components.
Seriously man, you get in this tissy every time. "omg I totally played more mass effect than that! liar!!!" "OMG HD DVD totally had more sales, totally! Liar!!!"
What is it with you mean? You DO follow me around. If you don't care about my opinions or facts, don't comment on them, move along. Everything I said was true, so I don't get why you're pissing on the walls and crying murder, get over it, find a tampon, jesus CHRIST just relax man, it's NOT that serious. It's a fucking controller.

Nyko has one, but Logitech hasn't put one out yet. Sony has already released the wireless protocol for their system, and the rumble technology has been distributed to 3rd parties. More should appear as time goes by.

^ Thanks.
I've not liked Nyko stuff in the past, but having options is better then not having them. I'll check their site out.

The reason I dislike Nyko... their items seem less refined then OEM or Logitech stuff. Kinda plasticky if you know what I mean.
BTW: Here's their sixaxis/rumble controller.
