As for Halo 3, again, look at the main characters, even Cortana looks like shit. Resistance has better character models / character textures (even for no name soldiers) than Halo 3. Killzone 2 stomps both though, and I'm still amazed as to why you think it hasn't lived up to it's hype, visually.

Anyways, you are not one to talk about originality, as it has been one of your gripes about some games in the past, but now you are conveniently labeling it "something folks bring up for the sheer purpose of discrediting another piece of work." Ha, give me a break.

What I meant by not being original had nothing to do with the story, but the gameplay mechanics. Uncharted essentially borrowed a few mechanics from other games and melded them together. The game looks great, and production values are sky high, but honestly, it was nothing new. It's been widely agreed upon, so don't start pointing fingers at me.

As for Halo, I just posted a bunch of screenshots, WITH the main character. They look stunning. Much better than Resistance:FoM (although I am sure your retort is bound to disprove me ). You are simply blowing the issue out of proportion by nitpicking at small details such as the face textures of marines. Wow, fanboys sure do amuse me.

Those are all screenshots captured from Photo mode. They are *just* like the shots from GT4 photo mode, PGR4 photo mode, and GT5 photomode. AKA they are NOT representative of the games visuals, because they get multiple passes, higher pixel counts for lighting, and rendered at a much higher resolution with a significant amount of additional AA.



That's a direct capture of an in game image, which is leagues below the rendered screens you posted (fuck just look at the resolutions for christ sakes). The game looks great, I'm just pointing out that you are much more forgiving of Bungie and their failed promise than you are of Sony 1st party games.

Sony released a notorious trailer at E3 that was (clear as day) CGI, then said it was gameplay. LMAO.

Maybe KillZone 2 WILL blow everything else out of the water, and I will in turn be pleasantly surprised; who knows? I apologize if my stance at this point seems overly pessimistic, I've just been doubting the game since I saw that initial trailer from Sony.
