Kojima Productions' tactical epic Metal Gear Solid 4 will feature multiple cutscenes that each approach the 90-minute mark when it is released on June 12, according to CVG.
The news apparently comes out of PSW magazine, which played through the lengthy game for review. The new issue hits store shelves today.
The mag also notes that the cutscenes can indeed be skipped or paused. However, if you were hoping to digest the final act of the Solid Snake saga in its entirety, you may want to stock up on popcorn.
In other snooze news, the game will apparently require a minimum installation of 4.5GB, according to the display copy.
Metal Gear Solid 4 hits the PlayStation 3 on June 12 worldwide.

I'm sorry but thats super gay
Well... Didn't Kojima say that he was running into B-R capacity probs? I guess now we know why.
It's been published that the "X" and "L1" buttons will be used to control access to the flashbacks. I hope there's a way to pause the clips so I can grab a drink, hit the can, etc.

Pause, stop, skip and replay will surely be an option but I still think its super gay. It’s a game and I want to play the story not watch it, a few short cut scenes that add to the story are cool but this is just stupid.
Mods: JDM H22a Swap, Greddy SS Header, Greddy SP Cat Back, Car Sound highflow Cat, Skunk2 Cam gears (tuned), Light weight Flywheel, AEM CAI and Short Ram (I switch for different things). ON THE WAY: JUN Valve Train, Jun High Comp Pistons and JUN Flywheel
This was already proven wrong on NeoGAF by someone who currently has a review copy. There are some lengthy scenes, but none that approach 90 minutes (though it may be possible the ending will be lengthy).

Apparently pause is an option, but not rewind, so we need to pay attention the first time through, lol.
From the sounds of it the final cut scene will approach 90 min, and hopefully that is the only one. 90 minutes is similar to a feature length film... and IMO, cut scenes that are excessively long can actually take people away from the experience, instead of keeping them in it.

Play through MGS3 and I promise you'll change your mind after the games ending sequence.

The end of MGS3, from the start of the final boss battle, to the end of the game, is about an hour and a half of gameplay, cut scenes, and absolutely amazing intensity. Best 'final' area in a game.

Ever.
From the fight with Boss and then the flight out on the helo?
Wow. I didn't think it was that long. It's been awhile since I've played that game.

*spoilers*
No, I'm talking from the Shagohod to the end of the game, lol. It's pretty much the 'end' of the game from that point on.
The way they split up gameplay and cutscenes was absolutely ground breaking, IMO. It was awesome.
