Mirror's Edge on PS3 Gets Exclusive DLC The anticipated game from EA Dice will not be a timed exclusive for PS3, but the game will have exclusive downloadable content for Sony's platform.
by David Radd on Tuesday, September 02, 2008
Speaking to Eurogamer, EA and SCEA denied that Mirror's Edge would be a timed exclusive on the PS3. It was confirmed, however, that the PS3 version of the game would receive exclusive downloadable content.
"PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with EA regarding the title," said the Sony spokesperson to Eurogamer. "Exclusive downloadable content will be offered on the PlayStation Network."
The EA Dice developed Mirror's Edge will release simultaneously on PS3, PC and Xbox 360 in late 2008.

Pretty sure this is false. Also, EA isn't a shit eating company anymore like Bethesda or Rockstar, who get paid to play favorites with their consoles.
Mirror's Edge on PS3 Getting Exclusive DLC Sony gets Faith.
by Martin Robinson, IGN UK
UK, September 2, 2008 - Sony's PlayStation 3 is to receive exclusive downloadable content for EA's forthcoming first-person free-running game Mirror's Edge, according to a recent report from Eurogamer.
The news comes after a German site misreported that Mirror's Edge would be a timed PlayStation 3 exclusive – and in moving to clarify the story, Sony revealed that while it would be released on multiple platforms simultaneously, the PlayStation 3 will be receiving exclusive downloadable content.
We're awaiting further details from both EA and the games developer DICE, though Sony has confirmed the story.
"The game is multi-platform, although PlayStation has an exclusive marketing agreement with EA regarding the title," said an official statement, "and exclusive downloadable content will be offered on the PlayStation Network."
UPDATE: EA has got back to us, saying that they are not yet in a position to talk about any downloadable content for Mirror's Edge - so it looks as if Sony has jumped the gun on this announcement. We'll keep you informed of any developments as they happen.

Ouch, vicious words. Please do not take this offensively, but labeling a developer a "shit eating company" because they opt to make smart business decisions is absurd.

Really? Is it that absurd to label a company as "shit eating" because they are willing to take monetary compensation for the sole purpose of "remaining exclusive"?
I think it's simply a disservice to gamers to accept what is essentially 'bribe money' so you can be a pawn in a fucking console war. I'm just so sick of these deals, and if Mirrors Edge has "exclusive DLC" on the PS3, then I will happily pass on it and pick it up used. I won't support shit like that.
