i read through the entire article and thought there were some good points made, seems more like it's aimed at sony as a kick in the pants to get them going on the ps3.

EA has been losing money on all 3 consoles becuase no one is buying their games, becuase, well, they're shitty.
As far as the "translations" they're a bit misguided and full of arrogance in themselves. He's basically "bashing Sony" for not having enough consoles sold and software pushed, when MS had the same problem last year, to a certain extent. The 360 pushed more software, but only because nearly every retail chain was ONLY offering it in a Bundle with a ton of unwanted games, and continued to do so all the way through March. This has not been the case with the PS3, due to negative consumer feedback from the 360.
I wouldn't say it's bad news. I'd say it's a flash back from the PS2 and Xbox launches, when the SAME SHIT happened.
as much as im disappointed w/ EA for stooping to IGA w/ bf2142, they do put out some gems. by put out i mean publish, because EA is a publisher first and foremost. EA is putting out crysis, would you categorize crysis as shit? or battlefield, madden, metal of honor, call of duty, spore, fight night, burnout, ssx, half life 2 (well for consoles at least), etc.. this is by no means defending EA, as any other publisher could do the same thing. however, saying all their games are shit is pretty far from reality.
something tells me if they were complaining about the 360 attach rate you would be rootin harder than arsenio welcoming m.c. hammer.

I'm sure there's tons of others. It's no secret that their Next generation titles have been plagued by problems, freezes, frame rate issues, etc. Their "forray" into next gen can only be described as sub par, in comparison to other developers.
I can't look at Live and not be disgusted to see how much better 2K7 is, all around.
Or think about how much better PGR3, GT: HD, TDU, etc are than the terrible NFS titles on both consoles.
SSX was awesome, but they ahve done so little to improve the series since it's birth that it might as well be labled a cash cow prostitute. NBA Street, unsurprisingly, is turning out exactly the same.
EA does a wonderful job of driving a franchise directly into the earth at the speed of light in order to produce as many dollars as they can, without the effort put forth to actually justify the purchase of their games, and gamers are catching on...
well the article addressed that. in the conclusion he essentially says investors have been losing confidence in EA because theyve been riding the PS2 gravy train too long and been putting off significantly developing for the new consoles.
