PS3 Updates to v2.17
Just a minor firmware update for the PS3 today. v2.17 improves the operating stability of some online PS3 titles, although which PS3 titles has yet to be revealed; could be many or only a couple.

The PlayStation Blog today announced that the PS3 has received a firmware update. This new firmware upgrade is listed as v2.17 and features improved support for some online titles.

"If you've signed in to the PlayStation Network tonight on your PS3, you probably noticed that you were prompted to upgrade the system's firmware to v2.17," said Jeff Rubenstein, SCEA Social Media Manager. "In case you were wondering what it's all about (and a quick Google search indicates that yes, you are) the operating stability of some online PS3 titles has been improved."

Mods: JDM H22a Swap, Greddy SS Header, Greddy SP Cat Back, Car Sound highflow Cat, Skunk2 Cam gears (tuned), Light weight Flywheel, AEM CAI and Short Ram (I switch for different things). ON THE WAY: JUN Valve Train, Jun High Comp Pistons and JUN Flywheel

You missed what was a key part of this news. All this did was expand support for PS2 games that required the PS2 HDD. Now you can install THOSE on the HDD of the PS3...not 'any PS2 game'.

I thought it was pretty self explanatory... We all know Sony isn't gonna let us just copy games from the PS2 that they're still supporting.
