It's a very niche series, so I'm not really expecting anyone else to like or even be familiar with the series.
I, however, became addicted during the N64 era, and the SNES version was just released on the Virtual Console for the Wii, so I'm pretty excited about that.

i used to have the nes rom on my work computer, i would play that game for ever

That's how I played the SNES version as well, because I didn't want to pay $60 for a used version on eBay.

It was actually released on Feb. 11th, but I just found out about it today.
Harvest Moon 64 is what got me hooked as well.
