The World Ends With Square Enix's New RPG
Set in modern Japan with a distinct IP, The World Ends With You promises to take full advantage of the DS' capabilities with a unique soundtrack and ways to interact with other people.

Square Enix today announced that its action/RPG The World Ends With You will be coming to North America on April 22, 2008. This DS title is set in Shibuya, a popular fashion district in Tokyo, where teenage Neku Sakuraba wakes up and has a mysterious quest thrust upon him. Some of the creators of Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts were involved in creating The World Ends With You, including character designer Tetsuya Nomura.
"The World Ends With You is a cutting-edge, fast-paced adventure that takes full advantage of Nintendo DS functionality," said John Yamamoto, president and CEO of Square Enix, Inc.. "Square Enix is excited to bring an RPG set in modern times and real-life locations to gamers of all ages and abilities."
