I have seen the new iPhone in our local news network recently and does anyone know when it will be launched for deployment to the consumer market there in the United States? And will it be sim locked to a local US carrier or will they be also selling units that are not locked to any carrier? I live in the Philippines and I was just drooling like a baby when I saw the iPhone on tv last week. I'd like to hear from you guy's back there in the USA what's up with the coming developments on the iPhone. Thanks!

no clue, it isnt advertised at all, but my cell phone has all kinds of media capibility, but i never use it cause it will kill the battery with the quickness then i have no phone, so i really am not looking foreward to iphone

Hmm... I see, well I did hear that the iPhone is a cellphone, Mp3 player, media player, camera and Pda all in one unit. And works in all the GSM networks around the world. I travel at least once a year and that unit would be quite handy for me during my travel. Wouldn't you want one of those though?

im not wasting my money, i have a cell phone, mp3 player, and whatever else. I dont need it all in one, ecspecially cause i dropped my phone 39840928492 times since i got it.

Is iPhone the next step in smartphone evolution? Until June, when it will supposedly appear in Cingular’s offer (if it passes the FCC’s approval procedures), we have all the time we could need to bet for or against the future of this piece of equipment.
