iPod Docking Stations.

Woot! I got two of them for Christmas!

One is made by Jensen. It came with a remote and FM tuner, clock, etc.. The other is made by iHome and has a desk lamp attach to the base. The iHome one is going w/ me to work to go atop my desk.

I was eyeballing some docking stations before Christmas, so I think my friends kinda knew what I wanted.

Anybody else use one?

i was looking at getting one of the ihome docks that has the alarm and everything on it to use for my bedroom. havent made a purchase yet though

So far the iHome lamp/dock is working out really well. It's got that "Apple White" kinda coloration w/ a silver grill so it looks pretty sharp IMHO.

The bulb is a 60w bulb, so even if I'm leaving a carbon footprint, it gives off a good amount of light. Perfect for readin, writing, etc. at my desk.

The one thing that might bother some is that the speakers fire towards the rear of the unit. So if you have it facing a wall or on a shelf, etc. it might muffle the sound ever so slightly. But like stated, mine is at work where I can't play it very loudly anyways. Other then that, the sound quality is decent. Better then the Sony Clock/AM-FM/CD unit I currently have on my desk.

Congrats man!

I basically use both my docks everyday. I don't check my iTunes account on a daily basis, so I'm not always plugging in my iPod into my PC for recharging. But since I've gotten the docks I've never had a low battery issue.

It just makes using an iPod that much easier.

I like the one you got. I was eyballing something similar before I got my Christmas gifts.

so far this thing is tight

the sound quality is really good for its size and price

and its pretty useful, just unplugged it and took it into the bathroom while i was showering...woke up to my ipod, it was nice
