iPod Gripes?

Anybody have any gripes or solutions to common probs w/ their iPods they'd like to air out or share w/ everybody else?



Let's see... my 30GB suffers at times from lag. If I press the jog dial more then say 3-4 times in quick succession, it'll freeze up my iPod for a good 3-7 seconds before I can regain control of it. Anybody else have this prob?

I have a few. I am new to the ipod thing. I recently got the 80GB classic and the main problems I'm having are;

when selecting a video to watch from my list, it gets to the first part of the video and then kicks me out to the list so that I have to select it again.

also, and I'm not sure if this is a problem or not, it might supposed to be like this, but when I get done watching a music video, tv show etc, it doesn't go back to the list. I have to hit the top button to go back to the menu. I would think once a video is completely done playing, it would kick you back out to the list for you to choose the next one

also, sometimes it plays the wrong thing. this happened a few times recently with video podcasts. I would choose a podcast for deadliest catch, and it would show me the podcast for man vs wild.

these aren't any big problems. it's nothing that is keeping my ipod from functioning correctly. they're just minor inconveniences I wish I wasn't having

Lag seems to be the only problem I have with it sometimes. Otherwise it works great. I am running out of room in my 30 gb one though so I might have to upgrade fairly soon.

So you suffer from the same symptoms that I do?

My friend just got a 130G and her's doesn't stall. Maybe I got a slightly faulty one.

are ipods HDD decvices?? i have a zune so i been round the zune forums, and you can pull out the zune HD and put in a larger laptop HDD, if the ipods are HDD as well, may be a solution to you ipod ppl as far as storage gripes?
