i need some help!!!

i need some help to fix my car but i dont know if i am asking in the wrong place!!!! either way let me start to explain!!!!

my car shoots out black smoke out the exhaust! is it the head gasket? or is it the piston or piston rings?

another problem is, that my vtec plug is not plugged in into the vtec sensor on the engine, it is plugged into some other plug that the previous owner plugged it into (he added a sensor that looks like the vtec sensor). when i try to plug the vtec plug into the sensor on the engine, and i try to accelerate(while on park) it makes my exhaust manifold fire back, and my car goes off. what is the problem? can somebody help me plz!!!!

I don't have any idea to your first problem, but about your car sensor problem I can give you some help because it happened to my Acura oxygen sensor too. Try measuring the oxygen content of the exhaust just after it leaves the cylinders.
