Yes, its a fresh water aquarium. And those are Cardinal tetras which look similar to neon tetras but they're entire bottom half of the body is red.

and yes, that's a $1200 diamond bracelet in the bottom of my fishtank... my girlfriends ex boyfriend bought it for her... she kept wearing it, even though I outfitted her with new diamonds (haven't gotten to the bracelet yet, but she's got the ring, earrings, and necklace). She kept wearing it even though I asked her not to, so I dumped it in the tank and she's to girly to stick her hand in there and get it. So there it stays.

well having a mix of GOOD lighting, nutrient rich substrate, dissolving co2 gas or adding a carbon based substitute, and liquid fertilizer dosing are the main things needed to get very good plant growth.
Not all of that is truely needed if you know the right type of plants to go with.
These sites should help you out if your serious about improving your skill at growing and keeping aquatic plants.

finally my oscar passed away and i dumped my red devil with it in the trash.
i used to have a whole tank full of cichlids but the oscar and red devil got so big and agressive they are the only two who can live together.
so now i have a whole empty tank and i bought 6 oranda goldfish(big brain). i still have 2 algea eaters from before
those guys are cool. im tired of the agressive fish thing.
how do i get all that crap on the rocks out? its actually cloudy right and should clear up in a couple hours. but once i stir the rocks the tank gets cloudy. someone told me goldfishes clean out the bottom of tanks.
i did have an undergravel system that always had problems. do you guys think i have to have a air pump or air system thing? or will i be fine with a filter system and a open area on top of the tank for oxygen?

Well I dont use a filter filter. But I have salt water. I have a protein skimmer and 10 lbs of live rock and sand and everything is at 0. Oh this is in a 10gal tank with a bunch of green mushrooms, xenia, calabra, 10 snails (6 astria, 2 nassaria, 2 conch), 10 crabs (6 blue leg, and 4 red leg)

is there an easy way to get rid of waste between the rocks? does the vaccum work good? somewhere each time i use the vacuum it creates a messy duststorm making it hard to see anything

i killed a beta, does that mean i should never buy another fish?
We had a little vase he lived in, and my mom took the plant off the top and he jumped out. Turns out your supposed to keep the plant in there.

My salt water fishes all died, they are just too hard to keep and maintain...and i've spent enough to buy a new motorcycle with it...going back to a 300 gallon fresh water tank soon...supapoopa, i like ur set up...simple yet attractive...i like a fresh water tank full of plants, places where the fishes can hide....that's like a 30 gallon tank?
