wow well my first set of convict frys are getting old and somehow moved their home to the middle of tank....their old fuck motel got invaded by my pink convict couple and shit i noticed 10000s of eggs in there.
this morning i look and the left side of my tank has a shitload of new frys.
so now i have three sets of convicts with babies soon
i already have 15 fishes plus babies how many of the new babies should i keep?

Yup yup. Or another tip might be to use them as feed for any larger fish you have that needs live food.

lol..yea...convicts breed really easily and really often..a lot of fish stores wont give you much or anything for chiclid babies because they breed so prolificly (sp)..but take a shot at it..but i mean hell..you'll only be able to use so much store credit..thats on ething that sucks abotu fish tanks..if you're good at keeping fish alive, you cant buy new fish...unless you pick up another tank of course

i might be able to stir the tank up a bit in the area so i babies scatter out to become food but it feels kinda wrong
but yea i doubt my local independent owned pet store will give me anything for them.

Anybody have practical experiences with clown loaches?
I just got two smallish ones (maybe 3" in total length) and they don't seem very happy in my 120 gallon tank. They were doing fine 48 hours ago, but today the don't seem as energetic and their barbels seem a bit frayed. I have not seem any of the other fish nipping at them at all, nor is there any sign of ick or other types of visible diseases.
The substrata is gravel and sand. I also have a decent amount of bogwood, largish rocks, and plants for them to have hiding places.
I haven't checked PH levels and such, but I'm thinking of doing so.
The water temp. is hovering between 82.5-84.5F.
My multitude of tetras, gourami, discus, etc. all are doing OK. it's just the loaches who're suffering.
Any ideas?

Scratch my last idea. I could have sworn i remember the old lady telling me that but I was wrong. Heres the deal. clown loaches are very sensitive. They get ph shock very easily and need to be drip acclimated everytime. secondly, they need to be in groups of about 7+...if you have jsut two or three that will drive them into the ground really fast. Their big thing is water quality..Basically, if these two go. Hold out until you can get about 7..and when you do go get your water tested prior. But she says that your best bet is to avoid clown loaches all together. They are a more advanced fish.
