Credit Card question
Ok, so I recently applied for a credit card, and I'll explain why, and don't lecture me why I applied for it, save your Apple hating crap for another thread.
Anyways, Apple was offering with Barclaycard 12 months no interest on a purchase of more than $900, so I was planning on getting a Macbook Pro with my employee discount so it comes to about 1100.
Now, after doing some more reading, I have been lead to believe that the MBP are reaching the end of their product cycle, and that new ones are in the horizon. Now I realized it after I applied to the credit card.
Is there a way to cancel the credit card without having my credit take a hit and then possibly re apply later on down the road if new ones come out? Or am I stuck with the credit card. The only reason I applied for it was so I could use it to purchase the computer, and I have 30 days to do so, so basically till March 27th.

meh, I just bought a 13.3" macbook pro, and they're baller. led backlit screen, unibody, etc etc. don't think you can go wrong getting one. they hold their value like crazy too so you could just sell it and get the new one if you think it's worth it. also, from what i remember, apple dictates what companies sell their products for so there is no "employee" discount.
if you don't need the aluminum unibody or backlighting or firewire port, just get the macbook (non pro), they have IDENTICAL specs and they're $400 cheaper. IDENTICAL. just a thought. though i did get the pro myself.

I actually work for Apple, hence my employee discount
But anyways, anyone have any insight other than quoting posts?

call the bank and talk to someone there and see what they have to say about the situation. maybe they can suspend your account or something like that

you aren't one of those scenster fags i see at the apple store are you?
and for your card, you can probably cancel it. for the sake of your credit though, you might want to buy your next tank or gas with it or something, then pay it off and cancel it. probably looks better that way than to open it and close it. but i don't know for sure how credit shit works, it's a retarded system
