arent the fox body mustangs also dangerous as hell? if u get in a wreck wouldn't want to be you.
YES, people like YOU.
Yeah, they're cheap. Not everybody has the $$$ to throw around.
I really haven't heard anything about the safety issue so I doubt it dangerous. Where'd you hear this? The accident and death rates are higher then most other cars because testosterone and speed just don't mix. The problem is with too many kids and people wrecking them going triple digits. I think the tested top speed for an 87 5.0 was something like 147mph. Good luck surviving that in any car. I know the new Gt's get the highest crash rating. 5stars for both the driver and the passenger.

They are reliable as hell! They arent quite as 'fuel up and forget about it' as a Honda, but they really last a long time if taken care of. Mine just rolled over 162,000 miles and it only uses a little oil, which has diminished since I put Slick 50 and 20w-50 in it. It runs like a bat outta hell too.
Hey EH2, is you uncle's Fox a real Saleen or a look-a-like?

thanks for your help, guys. hopefully I'll be able to pick one up, and over time be able to drop enough cash into it to be able to join PwrAddrPrincess in the 8's. also, I forgot to mention, I don't intend on leaving it street legal. strictly a track car so nothing's holding me back when I'm parts shopping! glad to see some people who're willing to help with a question about domestics.

yeah, they are dangerous. they are light and have a V8, that's not a good combination. i don't believe the crash ratings on the new mustang because i have ridden in a 2002 GT and that thing feels like if i even get hit by a shopping cart it's going to fall apart, that is my opinion though.
i remember being 16 and i liked mustangs at one point and my dad said "theres no way in hell your riding in that deathtrap" so that kinda turned me away from them.

it's the real deal, but it's basically not original at all
it used to have the gray sticker kit (original) along the bottom of the car but he switched up when he got it repainted (vandalism) and he got rid of the original wheels for 17" cobra rs
Mods: jdm s13 silvia front, eibach prokit, kyb agx shocks, apexi n1 catback, sr20det on it's way
