here is one that is on topic in off topic. note it is about hyundais shipping business. as a side note kia is hyundias affiliate. what ever that means. Hyundai Merchant May Sell Car-Ship Ops For $1.3B - Report

SEOUL (Dow Jones) --South Korea's Hyundai Merchant Marine Co. (Q.HMM), a shipping company, will likely sell its car-shipping business for $1.3 billion, or $200 million less than earlier expected, Maeil Business Newspaper reported Saturday.
As previously reported, South Korea's Hyundai Motor Co. and (Q.HMC) Wallenius Wilhelmasen Lines, or WWL - a joint venture between Norway's Wilhelm Wilhelmsen ASA (Y.WIL) and Sweden's Wallenius Lines AB - agreed to set up a new company to buy the car shipping business.
Hyundai Motor will own 20% of the new company, and WWL will own the rest, said Hyundai Motor earlier.
Hyundai Motor will hold a board of directors meeting in July to hammer out further details, the report said.
The new venture will transport all the automobiles made by Hyundai Motor and its Kia Motors Corp. (Q.KMO) affiliate for five years.
Hyundai Merchant Marine's car-transport business generated about KRW1 trillion in revenue in 2001, or 20% of the company's total revenue.
Hyundai Merchant Marine is selling its assets to pay off its heavy debt. Its debt-to-equity ratio reached 1,362% at end-March while liabilities totaled KRW6.12 trillion.

The block survived the run and this was in Super Street back in the day. Probably too long ago for you to have read it though.
cant be done on the stock 1.5 bottom end period. and i have every super street magazine there is. So which volume is it in. Also i have just about all of the import tuners except number one. and sport compact i have about 9 years back. as for back in the day that is quite a contradiction when you figure in in the nines as we type. so which one is it back in the day or in the nines as we type. go figure.

Well Start f-ing reading if you have every issue. Then come back and tell us the story they did on it. It was running nines back in lets say 97 or so. And it still is so both!
hyundai is a pretty huge company and they make everything from little engines to big engines to electronics. their reputation really got destroyed here when it came to cars (hyundai excel which had a mitsu engine! --- so you're saying that mitsu sucks?!?!) .
they are slowly gaining back their reputation... a great move they make was to backup their cars to 100k miles... now everyones doing it! we should thank hyundai for doing this.
in korea they are the "man" when it comes to cars and their cars are turbocharged and modified for race just like any other car... and some of them look pretty freaking sweet!
a lot of people are into the "status" and since hyundai's status here is cheapo cars everyone is dissing them. but hey, honda's were also "econo" cars but now they are liked by everyone.
people do your research before posting your uninformed "opinions" .... same attitude as "i have a honda and my car is the best in the world and i can kill mustangs with vtec... bla bla bla"

actually i have never said my car is faster than any other make as a generalization. i have done my research look at my posts . i stated that im my opinion they are unreliable. i have noones post with any evidence that they are reliable. and for that matter no proof that they can run 9 seconds with a stock 1.5 bottom end. maybe with the mitsu engine in there which is 1.6 or 2.0 if it is a swapped 4g63 it is possible. I have had a 1.5 engine and the rods are about half as strong as honda civic dx rods. they and the pistons could barely take a 5o shot of nitrous none the less the 500 hp required to run in the nine second range. I have also had a few mustangs and year for year mod for mod they will eat up about any 4 cylinder import .
have you thought about it? when it comes to some honda owners or whatever, they tend to become just as ignorant as some domestic owners. a car is a car, seems like some honda owners like to whine and complain how some ignorant domestics dog on imports, and yet, some pull stunts just like them, think about it, some honda owners becoming ignorant and doggin on another car company. so now what you think they gonna say, most likely "friggin ignorant honda owners". come to think of it, this world is basically bases on competition, if there wasn't any competition, then it would be one boring as world because everyone has the same thing. remember the quote "everyone is different"? okay then, i think that was my 2 cents, peace out

Bahahhahahahha...........Mod for mod? Yeah Ok! My 94 GS-R beat 5.0's that had more shit than me. All I had was I/H/E and oh yes stock susp and rims. Running 14.6 in the 1/4mi. The stock LX 5.0(faster than GT) ran a best of 14.7 Stock. i've beatened numerous modded GT 5.0's. The 1st day After my ZC swap in my hatch I tied a 5.0 LX up to about 100 mph!

i think its more accurate to look at everything as a whole rather than a piece, your baisin information based on just your experience. really, i have seen much fast modded 5.0's, so i'm guessing that the 5.0 you race probably couldn't drive or whatever.
~no intentions on flaming anyone with this~ :

They don't drive them. They compile the times from mags and average them. V8 GT's aren't that quick stock.
