Try General UHP's. Cheap, good. Especially if you want something to shred.

Also - rethink the 18's if you're not putting down +300rwhp. Dropping a couple inches will really make those drift weekeds worth it. Either that or buy a set of stock steelies in a smaller diameter for the track days. Good 18inch rubber gets expensive FAST.

yes they do. problem is.. I wasn't having problem making my car go side ways with those stupid huge tires/wheels in my automatic what so ever. so side wise, it doesn't hurt me on spinning the tires, but price/wallet wise, yes yes they do. besides, the tire was too damn big for my ride so I wanted to burn them up so i have an excuse to put correct size tires. and no, they aren't going to be ran at the track anymore. i just needed to burn them up so i can run more accurate sized tires for my ride. aka street tires. i right now have 6 wheels/tires for track, so those G35 18's in rear won't see the track ever again. the front one's I like alot[toyo proxies]. lots of grip so those will see track again, but never again for rear's.

lalala...falken tire shopping here I come..

Sounds like fun. My RWD setup rocks 15inch Azenis up front and 17inch retreads out back. I figure the fronts aren't going to be used, and who cares about the rears becuase I have to mount new tires every month anyways. If you plan on drifting on a regular basis, get to know a local tire shop. They can hook you up with all kinds of gone or nearly gone tires that will be great for a few laps.

you should run some cherry tires up front[good tires] and shitty tires rear, ia 15~17's

and for front, i wouldn't fun anything lower then 16's as I am planning on a front brake caliper swap to Z32 calipers[300zx]

and no worries on tires, I have many hookup's. about $150 would get me brand new falkens mounted/balanced. and as for other sets of tires, i have over 40% of thread left on all of them, so I am quiet set for 2~4 events that I am planning on running. so they should last me about 3 month from now, as there is a event that I go to every month. what RWD car do you have?
