just happened to have bad luck...was driving my gf home down a hill to get to the freeway by my house, raining really hard, night time already, and there just happened to be this HUGE rock sitting in a puddle, didn't see it until my headlights caught it and didn't wanna try to dodge it cuz that's just stupid to do in the rain...so i hit it...didn't sounds like a bad hit at first until i got a chance to stop and look at it...good thing it didn't hit one of my wheels or else i would of been in trouble...
the rock got stuck underneath my car, ended up dragging it along the ground, it was damn huge and heavy!
my gf and i are okay..get my car back next week hopefully...insurance/car shop look at it...cost 2,800..mainly because the AC is busted...at least i just have to pay the 500 deductible...still whack...i miss my car!
one little thing...please don't ask "didn't you see the rock??" well duh i saw the thing but going down hill with puddles all around do you really want to try and do a james bond move? some dumb people keep asking me that Q..sorry! hah
that is some terrible luck right there sorry to hear about it, but by that damage wtf kinda rock was that it musta been apart of the road  and if u have comprehensive it will cover it at least

atleast u r and ure gf are ok, that could have been many times more serious than that:eek:

thanks...insurance was pretty dope...well they did take 5 days just to look at the damn car but they didn't give me any problems...
hondapimpin - the rock rolled from down off the hill...the rain rolled all this shit down...from now on i'm driving something else in the rain...this is traumatizing..
Damn thats some bad frame damage...thats gonna cost a lot for insurance to fix...when I got in a wreak there wasn't much damage done to the outside but the frame damage was enough for insurance to total my car..
Good luck,
Jason

hole E sheit man! damn dude you got fucked up! lol!!!
this is why god created SUV's hahaha...but seriously...how fast were you going down that hill anyway?? it had to be a dirt road and in the dark, in the rain, down a muddy ass bumpy hill...ain't no way I'm gonna go more than 10 miles an hour....
from the look of that impact...sorry, my dad owns a body shop and I've seen ALL matter of impacts...looks like you were doing at least 35 or so...
tisk tisk...and no I'm not flaming you at all (hell, I'm guilty of thinking running over something wouldn't be as bad as it turned out to be...*cough* truck tire on freeway *cough*)
but anyway...just how close am I to the speed you were goin??
i wouldn't mind getting a new car but this car will still be okay after it's fixed...gotta get the money's worth!
don't have a pic of the rock, i left it on the side of the road, i know where i left it though so i might go back for it and then blow it up er something
it wasn't a dirt road...regular road at night but there are these hills on the side of the road and since it hasn't rained in SD forever, 2 days of constant rain just washed down all these rocks...
i was going about 35-40 (limit 60)...and that road gets semi-flooded when it rains and just my luck that rock was sitting in the puddle, iceberg effect...damnit! the next day i drove by there and the puddles were gone and you could see all these rocks in the road...
well insurance gave 2,800 to fix it...the frame isn't as bad as it looks they are just going to fix the frame and replace the AC and a bunch of the hoses and crap that broke, it's mainly the fixing the ac that is making it cost so much...just good that no damage to the engine, well some dings on the header but that's it, the frame and the ac took it all
just bad luck + a little good luck...better to hit a rock, then hit a rock + hit some car next to you...
