i think they do actually.. somewhere in this thread dave posted the stock specs. sure it's a lesser v6 than yours, but there are much worse ones out there.. and they respond very well to bolt-ons & boost.

oh...i guess i havent driven a v6 mustang in a long while. last one i driven for a test drive was the ones before the current gen and they were slow. sounds ok with a exhaust system but slow

their auto transmissions are for shit too, much like hondas. i rented one in tampa a few years back (last body style before the new ones), and it was a PIG. rental car too though, so i'm sure it was the worst of the worst. at least it was a rag top with loud stock sound though. 
and yeah.. a couple of buddies in HS had them and put flowmasters & cherry bombs & shit on 'em with full cat-back piping & they sounded great.. actually made more power with an exhaust too, which was nice.

yeah like I said the 6 isnt all that fast, however it has enough tourqe to make it fun. And when I get my SCT tuner in the mail today it should be even a little bit faster =P And damn those are good numbers for a stock v6 .... how much tq does it have?
Please dear god and ford release the 2010 V6 with the twin turbo.
Also rental cars are complete shit, you got the worst of the worst. I have an auto as well. I sqeek (holy fuck I forgot how to spell) my tires when not even trying sometimes.
