HUNTER x HUNTER (ova)
Anybody else watch them? 
I just finished rewatching the story arc where Ryodan and and Kurapica are in a countdown to attacking one another but end up in a hostage exchange situation. It basically is the ending of the storyarc with the Spiders.
The Greed Island arc takes places afterwards if I remember correctly. |

BTW: Greed Island is the rare video game the kiddies are searching for. They need it to figure out the link to Gon's father.

are they going to finish gon's father story arc or is that it?

in the end of OVA G.I final you see gon standing at a pond and looking towards a man that was fishing. That man is supposely Gon's genuine father but it just ends after that, and i've heard they were going to make another ova but so far no ova.

BTW: the manga is ongoing, but I don't think he's met his father yet... 
The artist lost his underlings or something as the artwork has been REALLY horrible lately & I haven't been following the manga so much.  |

no i dont think so, the guy in the beginning who saved GON was his father's disciple/student. He's also looking for his master and thought that by telling GON to join the hunter exam he will be able to meet his father.

i always thought it was hisoka, but.............some plot in the stories doesn't seem like he is. Hisoka has a more deep relationship with Gon then just his rival. It seems throughout the whole story he wants Gon to build and learn and gradually get stronger. But that's probably because he wants to fight him later on when he's matured.

Yeah, I think it's the challenge of the fight that drives him. Kinda like how he didn't want to fight the Spider Leader dOOd once he'd lost his powers.  |

I really wanted for this anime to extend longer, like Hajime No Ippo. It left me wanting more...

I've been switching back-n-forth between series. I just finished up the rest of the Hunter x Hunter G-I OAV's. It'd been awhile since I watched it... I'd forgotten how funny the arc w/ Killua going back to retake the Hunter test was. |
