Peace Maker = Kenshin rip off? - Honda Forum / Acura Forum

Anyone seen the series Peace Maker? I saw the first disk, (1-4) last night and thought it was very similair to Kenshin. Some of the names were the same or sound the same. I know both were based on a time period during the revolutions and used real names from the leader, like the Shishingume (sp) and Hejime Saito, but come on. Cant they pick some other name or were they that important and they cant find someone else to use.

On PM, that guy that looks and dress like a girl, she looks very similair to that one character on Kenshin who does the same. It has been a while since I saw Kenshin so I dont remember the name.

From watching the first disk, I think the show suck. The main character is very annoying and I cant stand him. I hope the show gets better.

It's a Studio Gonzo production from a couple years ago. We had a thread on it awhile awhile awhile back.

Yeah they use a few hositorical tid-bits here and there. Kinda like how many various stories do we see about: Robin Hood, King Arthur, Daniel Boone, etc. etc.

Same kinda dealie-o.

I know the series is kinda old, and I just started watching it because I was told that it was good. I hope it gets better.

I just kinda remember that the lady who does the voices of: Melissa from FMP, Sato from ID, and Hawkeye from FMA also had a voice role in PM Kurogane.

How far have you gotten? Did you get to the part where they split up into teams and have their contest?

uhhh...are you talking about the part when the mean high offical left town and they had a party or something? If not then no.

I just finished watching the 2nd disk so epdisode 8, where they meet that guy with the gun.

they used the real names of some of the historic ppl just liek kenshin did. its not a rip off
