98 Civic EX axle question

My daughter's 98 Civic EX clicks when turning both directions so I plan to replace both cv axles. Any special tools needed to extract the axles from the housing? Any particular tips about making this a relatively easy job? Any video's on this repair? Thanks.

If I remember you pull it out . I think it has a locking clip that releases with you pull on it. I'm very new to doing anything other than normal working and painting Hondas.

Ok its an easy job. I think its a 1 1/4 soket to take off the big nut and all you need is a flat head screwdriver to pop it out. Theirs two ways you can do it ( well two ways that i do it lol ) you can pull the suspention out and pull it out then or pop the lower control arm off and pull the break up and it will come out. Sometimes you have to pop off the bottom of the shock to get the cv past but both ways work. Sorry for any bad spelling im a car guy not a english student haha
