D15B MINIME TIMING BELT??

have a d15b block with d16 head my timing belt doesnt seem to tighten enough im using a d16 belt for 92-95?? is that wrong? its making this loud slapping noise when the rpms are high, can someone please help me out here??

Slapping belt noise = Imminent engine destruction if it jumps a tooth.

procedure:
Loosen the tensioner bolt 1/2 a turn rotate the crank anti clock wise until the camshaft is 3 teeth past TDC then tighten the tensioner to 44 nm (32 lb ft)
Did you do it this way?
If no better maybe try a new tensioner+spring. . .
Other than that find a shorter belt with the same teeth distance spacing.

what block and what head EXACTLY

d15b can mean USDM motors liek d15b2 or d15b7. if its JDM its teh d15b 130hp, basically a destroked d16z6

anyways, if it was the timing belt it would be slapping at LOW rpms and at high rpms would be slipping

do you have teh timing covers on?
